During my last trip I came across a website called

It has quite a large variety of hotels. You might wanna give it a try.Looking for a discount hotel in downtown seattle area?
Try the Eastlake Inn on Eastlake Ave E...you'll be about 10 minutes north of downtown by bus, but the #70 bus runs by every 15 minutes so it's easy to get downtown. Friends stayed there when they were visiting a few years ago and while it was nothing special, it was clean and quiet and actually had a little kitchenette in the room too.

Get breakfast at the 14 Carrot Cafe, about 2 blocks north of the Inn. Yum!!
it is not a great hotel but it is cheap and it is very close to downtown.

Pamana Hotel; i don't recommended if you are here for pleasure but it is cheap.
You can get a room at the Eighth Avenue Inn, which is clean hotel in Seattle, Washington. http://www.EighthAvenueInn.com
You can search and choose hotel information, rates and availability for free in over 200 countries world wide at my profile.

Name own price.....I got one at the Holiday Inn at the Airport for $75
If you are looking for a nice hotel that is reasonably priced then I would recommend Hampton Inn Hotel and Suites. It's a chain owned by Hilton Hotels but is less expensive than Hilton. You would definately need a car to stay there to get into the downtown core which is at most a 5 minute drive away. It's located right near the Space Needle. There is a monorail that can take you right into downtown. I stayed there for 2 nights in March for around $110/night. It also includes a free continental breakfast and internet access in the lobby. The rooms are very comfortable and newly renovated. The Beds are new and very comfortable. One more plus is you can park around the hotel on the street if you don't want to pay for parking. At the hotels in the downtown core, parking was around $20-30 a night.

There are probably cheaper hotels around but some parts of Seattle are kinda sketchy so it depends what you are looking for or willing to put up with. You might get a better deal online?? We just walked up to the counter and booked a room.

Hope this helps!
